Megan's mission as a teaching artist is to show her students that they are amazing, to teach them that they have choices, and to help them take ownership of their future. She often works with elementary age students, with a focus on developing social-emotional learning skills through dance and creative process learning. Her goal is to use art practices to create a holistic learning environment, and to collaborate with other disciplines (such as STEM or literature) to open up an inquiry-based learning process. She believes the arts aren’t about a product, but a process, and knowing the process makes us healthier human beings who are better able to learn and work in any field.
